The Midnight Jazz Project is dedicated to blending the rich traditions of jazz, salsa, and Latin jazz. Founded and led by percussionist Ken Moralez, the group was conceived as a community-driven initiative to unite music lovers and inspire both audiences and emerging artists. Our performances are characterized by infectious rhythms and soulful melodies that captivate listeners and dancers alike.

The band features a talented lineup of musicians, including:
• Ken Moralez on congas, bringing a deep-rooted passion for Latin rhythms.
• Roland Mendoza on bongos, adding intricate percussive layers.
• Elias Chico on percussion, enhancing the ensemble's rhythmic complexity.
• Danny Sanchez on the saxophone, delivering expressive melodies.
• Grammy-winning musician Gustavo Ramirez, contributing his acclaimed artistry.
• Michael Selfridge, a California State University, Fullerton alumnus, on bass, providing a solid harmonic foundation.
• Mady Epino a California State University, Fullerton alumnus, on trumpet, adding vibrant brass tones to the mix.

Known for their spontaneous and inclusive performances, The Midnight Jazz Project often welcomes guest musicians from the music industry, creating a lively and unpredictable atmosphere. Whether your guests are seated at tables or dancing on the floor, the band’s energy guarantees an unforgettable experience.

We offer flexible set lengths tailored to fit your venue’s needs, from intimate 45-minute sessions to extended 2-hour performances. Additionally, the band can provide its own professional PA system and setup if required, making the booking process smooth and hassle-free.
